Limiting global warming is a challenge for the entire world. The largest industrialised nations must lead the way. Today, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is taking part in the Major Economies Forum, which will focus on implementing the Climate Pact agreed upon at COP 26 in Glasgow.
David Beasley, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), visited the Federal Foreign Office today. WFP tackles hunger worldwide. Germany is WFP’s second largest donor and supported its life-saving work with a total of 1.2 billion euro in 2021.
At their first meeting in Berlin, the two Foreign Ministers focused not only on the crisis on the Ukrainian border, but also on new approaches to climate diplomacy.
